Connect ChatGPT to your Caddis machine data so you can ask about your shop floor in plain language, right from a ChatGPT conversation.

Note: Setting up a custom MCP connection may require a ChatGPT workspace Admin or Owner.

Step 1: Create a Custom App

1. Sign in to ChatGPT on the web.
2. Open Workspace Settings.
3. Select Apps.
4. Click Create to create a custom app.
5. If prompted, enable Developer Mode.
6. Enter Caddis as the app name.
7. Enter the Caddis MCP server URL (below).

Step 2: Connect and Scan Tools

1. Follow the prompts to authenticate your Caddis account.
2. Click Scan Tools. ChatGPT will connect to Caddis and identify the available tools.
3. Once the connection is successful, click Create.

Your Caddis connection will initially appear under Workspace Settings → Apps → Drafts. An Admin or Owner can publish it to make Caddis available to other users in your workspace.

Using Caddis in ChatGPT

Once Caddis has been added, start a new conversation in ChatGPT and select the Caddis app, or reference @Caddis in your prompt. Then just ask a question about your operation:

• "@Caddis, which machines had the most downtime yesterday?"

ChatGPT can use the information available through your Caddis account to answer the question and help you dig deeper into the data.
